Job summary

NSW Health in Bega is seeking a Sterilising Technician to decontaminate, inspect, package and sterilise reusable medical devices in line with AS 5369:2023 and CSSD procedures. The role supports patient safety and infection prevention and may include independent work and supervising less experienced staff.

You will hold a Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services, have CSSD experience, and demonstrate attention to quality control, accurate record-keeping and safe handling of equipment.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services (TAFE or equivalent) is required.
• Experience in a Sterile Services/CSSD environment or transferable experience in a procedure-driven production setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and distribution of reusable medical devices according to AS 5369:2023 and CSSD procedures.
• Independently perform duties and supervise less experienced staff as required.
