Job summary

The Sutherland Hospital in Caringbah, Sydney is seeking a Sterilisation Technician Grade 2 for permanent/temporary full- or part-time positions. You will ensure the cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation and circulation of Reusable Medical Devices across the Central Sterilisation Services Department.

Salary is AUD 36.80–38.43 per hour plus superannuation, with 38 hours per week. The role requires Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology.
• Capable of prioritising work within established routines and procedures and responsible for work performed with a high level of accountability or discretion.
• Work under limited supervision, either individually or in a small team.
• Possess sound communication skills.
• Motivated to work independently to meet deadlines and maintain standards according to HSO's Policies and Procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task with well-developed organisational skills and sound knowledge of National and International Standards pertaining to Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices.

Responsibilities

• Handle, clean, disinfect, sterilise and circulate Reusable Medical Devices.
• Reprocess reusable medical devices in line with National and International Standards and Departmental Policies.
