Job summary

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking experienced Theatre Sterilising Technicians to join the Theatre Sterilising Unit and Gastroenterology Instrument Reprocessing Unit within the Division of Surgical Services and Anaesthesia.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent industry qualification)
• Demonstrated experience in a hospital or day-procedure sterilising unit
• Practical knowledge of endoscope reprocessing protocols and Gastroenterology instrumentation
• Familiarity with SA Health sterilisation policies and quality frameworks
• Ability to work accurately under time pressure in a clinical support environment
• Current immunisation compliance consistent with SA Health employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilisation of surgical and endoscopy instruments in line with AS/NZS standards
• Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and associated Gastroenterology equipment
• Maintaining accurate batch records and traceability documentation
• Supporting theatre and clinical staff with instrument turnaround and stock management
