Wyvern House is looking for a creative and outcomes driven part-time (0.6 FTE) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) teacher to commence Term 1 2027 who is comfortable teaching through explicit direct instruction and inquiry-based models. This teacher should value collaboration with colleagues, be reflective and open to feedback and continual development, and believe in providing a rich learning experience for every child.
This role is primarily a team-teaching position working in classrooms and the STEM space to develop and deliver outstanding STEM units. The successful candidate will work at Wyvern House in Stanmore.
The successful applicant will be a team player who works well in a collaborative team and is constantly seeking to evolve their own teaching pedagogy. This teacher will also engage with the school community, promoting strong relationships, high levels of student interest, and effective learning outcomes for all students. The successful applicant will be reflective, self-aware, and understand the importance of using student data to inform their own teaching and learning as well as have a growth mindset.
