Job summary

HTU seeks graduates for the Australian Government STEM Stream, offering placements across agencies. You will engage in rotations, work on meaningful projects, and network with senior STEM leaders, gaining exposure to diverse APS departments in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Eligibility includes Australian citizenship, a 3-year STEM degree completed recently, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship at the time of application.
• Complete a minimum three-year STEM undergraduate degree within the last five years.
• Complete or be finishing undergraduate degree or higher by 31 December 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
• Willing to undergo police, character, health, or other checks.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the STEM Stream in the Australian Government Graduate Program (AGGP), you must:

• Be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
• Have completed a minimum three-year undergraduate degree in a STEM field within the last five years.
• Have completed or be finishing an undergraduate degree or higher by 31 December 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a valid Australian Government security clearance.
• Be willing to undergo any police, character, health, or other checks required.

Locations

Most roles within the STEM Stream are based in Canberra, with some opportunities available across Australia, depending on the agency you are matched with. Relocation assistance may be available through some agencies.

Roles are full-time, with potential for flexible work arrangements depending on your placement agency.
