Job summary

Steelfixers | DIDO – South of Gympie is seeking experienced steel fixers for an upcoming project south of Gympie, Queensland. The role offers a 10/4 roster, on-site camp with meals, and DIDO from Brisbane, with hours from 6:30am to 5:30pm and potential overtime.

Start is anticipated in 3–4 weeks, with accommodation provided on site and travel paid. Candidates should have strong experience in reinforcement steel and be committed to safety and quality on major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Steelfixers | DIDO – South of Gympie DIDO from Brisbane | Full Camp & Meals Provided We are currently seeking experienced Steelfixers to join the team on the upcoming project commencing in approximately 3-4 weeks. This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing project work on a major infrastructure project, with full camp facilities and meals provided while on site.

The Opportunity

• Location: South of Gympie, Queensland
• Start: Approximately 3-4 weeks
• Roster: 10 days on / 4 days off (subject to final confirmation)
• Hours: 6:30am – 5:30pm (could be longer depending on the day)
• Days: Monday to Sunday, including weekends
• Travel: DIDO from Brisbane and surrounding areas preferred
• Accommodation: Full camp and facilities provided
• Meals: Provided while on site

What We're Looking For

We are seeking experienced Steelfixers with a strong background in civil construction, infrastructure or major projects.

• Previous experience as a STEELFIXER
• Experience working on large-scale civil or infrastructure projects
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Experience with reinforcement steel, tying and installation
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work long shifts and a project roster
• Reliable transport and willingness to DIDO
• Relevant tickets, licences and construction qualifications

Rates & Conditions

• Normal Time: $60 per hour
• Overtime paid at 1.5x & 2.0x
• LAFHA: $100/day
• Travel: Paid for travel to and from site, capped at 3 hours each way (paid at normal time rate)

Overtime structure

• Monday–Friday: 8 hours normal time, 1.5x up to 10 hours, then 2x thereafter
• Saturday: First 2 hours at 1.5x, then 2x thereafter
• Sunday: 2x all day
