Job summary

Telum is seeking experienced steel fixers for a Staplyton-based role in a major precast concrete supplier environment. You will handle preparation, measurement, marking and cutting of rebar or mesh using hand and power tools, and fabricate tied reo steel and mesh cages for precast products.

The role offers above-award casual rates with overtime penalties where applicable, a roughly 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, ongoing opportunities with potential permanency after six months, and a

• Previous experience in a similar environment.
• Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Be able to work autonomously with a strong safety focus.
• Proficient in the use of hand & power tools.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

Our client is a major supplier in the production of large precast concrete products used in developing innovative site-specific solutions that impact stormwater management for the environment. They are currently seeking experienced Steel fixers to join their team.

What you could be doing!

Steel Fixers

• Preparation - measuring, marking, cutting rebar or mesh using hand/power tools
• Fabrication - tying reo steel, wire mesh, or pre-welded cages for precast concrete products
• Read and interpret basic drawings
• General workshop housekeeping
