Job summary

Mondaa Group Pty Ltd is seeking experienced steel fixers to join our permanent, full-time NSW team. You will measure, read plans, cut, bend and fix welded wire mesh into concrete forms and position steel components for pours on large-scale projects.

Ideal candidates hold AQF Certificate II/III, 2 years of steel fixing and post-tensioning experience, White Card, a valid driving licence, and a positive, team-focused attitude. Competitive salary and opportunities available.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate II or III in the relevant field is required.
• Steel fixing, post-tensioning and construction experience: 2 years (Required).
• Current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card) is required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in construction sites.
• Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in an inclusive team.
• Valid Driving Licence and reliable transport is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out measurements and calculations.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Cut, bend and fit welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be mesh-reinforced.
• Fix mesh and reinforced steel into position in formwork for concrete pours.
• Set up winches and rig equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns and other steel units.
• Use steelfixing tools and equipment; assist other trades as needed.

Mondaa Group Pty Ltd is specialized in delivering industry leading subcontracting services to the in the steel reinforcement industry across NSW.

Known for delivering high-quality work across multi-residential and commercial projects, Mondaa Group Pty Ltd looking for a skilled and fully qualified Steel fixers to work on large-scale reinforcement projects. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.

The Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Steel fixers for a permanent, full–time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out measurements and calculations
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Cut, bend and fit welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be mesh-reinforced
• Fix mesh and reinforced steel into position in formwork for concrete pours
• Set up winches and rig equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns and other steel units
• Use steelfixing tools and equipment
• Be prepared to assist other trades
• AQF Certificate II or III in the relevant field
• Steel fixing, post-tensioning and construction experience: 2 years (Required)
• Current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
• Safety procedures knowledge
• Positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in an inclusive team
• Valid Driving License and transport desirable

Salary: Starting at $75,000 - $95,000 per year negotiable on experience and skill set
