Job summary

ASR Civil in Adelaide is seeking skilled Steel Fixers to join our team. You will measure, cut, and bend welded wire mesh for concrete reinforcement, fix reinforcing steel bars and mesh in formwork for pours, and assemble/secure steel using wire, clips, or welds to ensure accurate placement for residential slabs.

You will collaborate with site supervisors, operate steel fixing equipment safely, and follow strict safety protocols.

• Measure, cut, and bend welded wire mesh for concrete reinforcement.
• Fix reinforcing steel bars and mesh in formwork for concrete pours.

• Perform quality inspections on completed work to meet project standards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and site managers.
• Troubleshoot issues during steel installation and adapt to site conditions.

Steel Fixer Position

Full Time Permanent Salary: 80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation

We have experienced staff who is maintaining strong operations of our business. We expertise in Earthworks, Stell Fixing and Concrete Construction across South Australia. Due to continued growth, the business requires enthusiastic hardworking experienced Steel Fixers to join their team.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant steel fixing experience, particularly in house slab construction.


• Current White Card demonstrating work health and safety compliance.


• Valid South Australian driver\'s licence and reliable transport for site access.


• Strong safety focus with experience in following construction site protocols.


• Proficiency in reading construction blueprints and setting out steel structures.


• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in various weather conditions.
