About the Role

The State Manager WA/SA is responsible for the leadership, operational performance, financial outcomes and business growth of the Western Australia and South Australia regions.

Reporting to the General Manager Business Enablement & Performance, this role is accountable for delivering operational excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, driving profitability and identifying new business opportunities that support the company's strategic growth objectives.

This is a primarily field-based role, with most of the time spent at client locations. The successful candidate will maintain a visible leadership presence across sites, working directly with clients and operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery, compliance and business growth outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Leadership & People Management

Lead, coach and develop operational leaders and frontline teams across WA and SA.

Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, customer service and continuous improvement.

Drive employee engagement, retention, workforce planning and capability development initiatives.

Support talent succession planning and leadership development across the region.

Operational Performance & Service Delivery

Oversee the delivery of security services across all client sites, ensuring contractual obligations and service standards are consistently achieved.

Conduct regular site visits to review operational performance, compliance standards and customer satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with security industry legislation, licensing requirements, WHS obligations and company standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Business Development & Growth

Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across WA and SA.

Develop and execute regional growth plans aligned with national business objectives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, industry partners and key stakeholders.

Prepare proposals, support tender submissions and participate in commercial negotiations.

Collaborate with national sales and operational teams to convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Client Relationship Management

Develop trusted relationships with key clients and stakeholders through regular onsite engagement.

Conduct service reviews and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and client value.

Resolve escalated client concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Support retention, contract growth and long-term client partnerships.

Manage regional budgets, profitability and operational costs.

Monitor business performance against revenue, margin and growth targets.

Provide accurate forecasting, reporting and business insights to senior leadership.

Identify efficiencies and commercial opportunities that improve business outcomes.

Field Leadership & Client Presence

Maintain a strong and visible presence across client locations throughout WA and SA.

Conduct operational reviews and identify service improvement opportunities.

Build meaningful relationships with operational teams and client decision-makers.

Act as a professional ambassador for Securitas within the market.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably within security services, facilities management or a related service industry.

Demonstrated success in business development, account growth and client relationship management.

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability and financial performance.

Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and driving operational excellence.

Strong understanding of compliance, risk management and service delivery frameworks.

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a highly mobile, field-based leadership role.

Current security industry qualifications and licences relevant to WA and SA (or the ability to obtain them).

Current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout WA and SA.
