Job summary

COPE Sensitive Freight seeks an experienced operational leader to guide our NSW/ACT operation through growth and transformation as we relocate to a purpose-built site. You will report to the National Operations Manager and oversee safety, operational excellence, financial performance and people leadership across NSW and ACT.

You will build high-performing teams, drive change, manage budgets and engage customers and key stakeholders in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience within transport, logistics, supply chain or a similar operational environment.
• Proven profit and loss management and commercial accountability, ideally at state or multi-site level.
• Proven success leading large teams and developing high-performing leaders.

About the State Manager – NSW Role

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to move our largest state operation through an exciting period of growth and transformation. With COPE preparing to relocate to a purpose-built super site, this role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our NSW/ACT operations, drive business performance and lead a large, diverse workforce through a significant change journey.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for safety, operational excellence, financial performance, customer outcomes and people leadership across the NSW and ACT region.

About You

As an experienced operational leader with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to lead teams in a complex, fast-paced environment, you will bring:

• Extensive senior leadership experience within transport, logistics, supply chain or a similar operational environment
• Proven profit and loss management and commercial accountability, ideally at state or multi-site level
• Proven success leading large teams and developing high-performing leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs and operational performance
• A track record of driving change, continuous improvement and business growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across customers, suppliers and internal teams
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence
