Job summary

people2people in Sydney is seeking an experienced payroll professional to own end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand, partnering with HR and systems teams to drive accuracy, governance and employee experience.

The role covers weekly, fortnightly and off-cycle payrolls, working with UKG One View and Kronos, remuneration reviews and benefits governance, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end payroll for AU/NZ.
• Strong governance, controls and reconciliation experience.
• Experience with time and attendance systems (UKG/Kronos).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll operations across Australia and New Zealand.
• Own payroll governance, reconciliations, reporting and audit readiness.
• Lead remuneration review processes, salary benchmarking and reward administration.
• Manage employee benefits and recognition programs.
• Investigate and resolve payroll, leave entitlement and time & attendance discrepancies.
• Collaborate with UKG and internal systems teams to troubleshoot payroll issues.
• Support leave reconciliations and ensure accuracy across platforms.
• Produce payroll, remuneration and workforce reporting and insights.
• Drive continuous improvement across payroll and HR administration processes.
• Lead payroll operations across weekly, fortnightly and off-cycle payrolls with UKG One View and Kronos.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced payroll and rewards professional to join a growing global FMCG business. Working closely with HR and doing payroll across Australia and New Zealand, this role will take ownership of payroll operations, remuneration processes, employee benefits and people services administration. You'll play a key role in driving payroll accuracy, strengthening governance, and improving employee experience. The role is a replacement so there is strong visibility for a temporary to permanent conversion for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll delivery
• Owning payroll governance, reconciliations, reporting and audit readiness
• Leading remuneration review processes, salary benchmarking and reward administration
• Managing employee benefits and recognition programs
• Investigating and resolving payroll, leave entitlement and time & attendance discrepancies
• Working closely with UKG and internal systems teams to troubleshoot payroll and workforce management issues
• Supporting leave reconciliations and ensuring accuracy across payroll and workforce management platforms
• Producing payroll, remuneration and workforce reporting and insights
• Driving continuous improvement across payroll, HR administration and people systems processes
• Lead payroll operations across multiple weekly, fortnightly and off-cycle payrolls while managing UKG One View and Kronos/Workforce Management environments

About you

• Previous experience managing end-to-end payroll for Australia AND New Zealand in a complex environment
• Strong experience with UKG One View
• Experience managing outsourced and standalone payroll
• Experience with UKG Workforce Management / Kronos or similar time & attendance systems
• Exposure to leave reconciliations, payroll controls and payroll governance
• Experience managing weekly, fortnightly and off-cycle payrolls
• Strong troubleshooting and systems problem-solving capability
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to handle high volumes of payroll and employee queries
• A proactive, organised and resilient approach to work
