Job summary

Titan Recruitment seeks a Senior Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Lead to drive community engagement across energy development and operational projects. Build relationships with landholders, government, and Traditional Owner Groups while shaping messaging and strategy.

You will develop and administer community benefit initiatives, monitor sentiment and risks, and provide leadership visibility into engagement activities.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience across communications, community engagement, and stakeholder management.
• Direct experience engaging with Traditional Owner Groups and First Nations stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication translating complex project information.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bring 8-12+ years' experience across communications, community engagement and stakeholder management, ideally gained within energy, renewables or major infrastructure environments.
• Demonstrate direct experience engaging respectfully with Traditional Owner Groups and First Nations stakeholders, including exposure to cultural heritage or native title matters.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex project information into clear messaging for different audiences.
• Bring proven media, public relations and corporate communications experience, including managing sensitive issues and communications with potential reputational impacts.
• Hold a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related discipline.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and lead stakeholder and community engagement strategies across projects, building strong relationships with landholders, local communities, government and other key stakeholders.
• Lead respectful and culturally appropriate engagement with Traditional Owner Groups, supporting cultural heritage processes and developing long-term relationships.
• Develop and manage corporate messaging, media relations and external communications, ensuring a clear and consistent company narrative across relevant channels.
• Develop and administer community benefit-sharing initiatives while monitoring community sentiment, social licence and emerging reputational risks.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement records and reporting systems, providing leadership with visibility of engagement activities, community sentiment and key stakeholder risks.
