Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty is seeking a Lead Community Engagement professional to manage stakeholder relations for a solar and battery energy development in North Queensland. You will coordinate communications with residents, landholders, First Nations, and government, and address concerns throughout construction.

The role offers FIFO from Queensland home ports to Townsville, with opportunities to develop across transport, defence, and renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in communications, media, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations or communications; infrastructure or energy exposure is preferred.
• Clear writing and confident communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Sound judgement when managing sensitive issues and competing priorities.
• Collaborative working style and strong relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develop engagement plans that meet client and contractual commitments.
• Build constructive relationships with residents, landholders, First Nations stakeholders and government.
• Coordinate public communications, media and social media activities.
• Handle enquiries and complaints with clear ownership and timely follow-through.
• Identify community and reputation risks and advise project leaders on responses.
• Help delivery teams understand their stakeholder obligations.
