Genus Services is seeking an experienced Stakeholder and Land Access Manager to join our team in North Sydney. Genus Services is seeking an experienced Stakeholder and Land Access Manager to join our team in North Sydney.

This role is responsible for managing stakeholder and land access activities to support the successful delivery of telecommunications projects. You will provide management and compliance expertise in securing land tenure in accordance with the Telecommunications Act 1997, while ensuring projects meet client, legislative and regulatory requirements.

The position will coordinate third-party stakeholder engagement across Land Access, Environment and Indigenous Heritage/Native Title activities and work closely with stakeholders and authorities across planning, design, land access and construction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate stakeholder and land access activities across projects
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and authorities
• Engage and consult with landowners, Traditional Owner/Indigenous groups and other affected stakeholders
• Coordinate meetings and site surveys with stakeholders and relevant specialists
• Manage and coordinate external consultants to support project deliverables
• Resolve stakeholder and land access issues or disputes
• Identify and elevate potential issues that may impact stakeholder relationships
• Negotiate, consult and present to stakeholders to support project objectives
• Work closely with project teams to optimise land access and associated processes
• Coordinate environment, cultural heritage and Native Title activities where required
• Provide leadership and advice in relation to Environment, Culture, Heritage and Compliance
• Ensure activities and project requirements are completed within required timeframes
• Lead, manage, mentor and develop the stakeholder and Land Access Environment team
• Monitor team performance and ensure appropriate resources and capability are available to achieve project requirements

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Minimum 10 years' experience within the telecommunications industry
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Land Access
• Proven experience successfully managing a team
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of Customer Access Network (CAN) assets, work practices and standards
• Proven knowledge of the Telecommunications Act 1997
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and relevant State and local regulatory compliance
• Strong planning, organisational and attention to detail skills
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving capability
• Strong stakeholder and customer relationship management skills
• Advanced ability to interpret working drawings
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the wider business
• Competency with Microsoft Office and relevant systems and databases

Qualifications in Town Planning and Environment or similar, tertiary qualifications in Leadership, Management or Project Management, and previous experience in a Land Access Environment specialist role will be highly regarded.
