Job summary

Genus Services in Sydney seeks an experienced Land Access Officer to support telecommunications projects from North Sydney. You will manage land access due diligence, notifications and approvals, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and maintaining accurate project records.

Qualifications

• Experience with land access due diligence, statutory notifications and approvals.
• Experience communicating with landowners, occupiers, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of telecom, environmental, cultural heritage, Native Title, planning and tenure requirements relevant to land access.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management and communication skills.
• Strong planning, organisational and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Competency using Microsoft Office and relevant systems and databases.
• A strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Undertake land access due diligence, notifications and approvals.
• Support compliance with relevant Commonwealth, State/Territory and local legislative requirements.
• Identify and communicate with landowners, occupiers, public landowners, authorities, Traditional Owners and other relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and issue statutory land access and activity notices.
• Support the procurement of waivers, early access and delivery agreements.
• Manage and resolve landowner and authority objections.
• Manage and resolve land access complaints.
• Coordinate required planning, environmental, cultural heritage, Native Title and tenure approvals.
• Attend landowner, occupier, authority and community meetings and project field visits where required.
• Review external land access specialist reports and telecommunications route plans.
• Prepare land access reports, clearances and construction handover packs.
• Maintain timely and accurate records within land access systems.
• Work closely with project teams to support project delivery and optimise processes for the field workforce.
• Identify and manage land access risks and issues.

Genus Services is seeking an experienced Land Access Officer to join our team based in North Sydney.

This role will support the delivery of telecommunications projects by managing land access requirements across the project lifecycle, with a strong focus on compliance, approvals, stakeholder engagement and maintaining accurate project records.

Working closely with the Genus land access and wider project teams, you will coordinate land access due diligence, notifications and approvals while ensuring relevant legislative and client requirements are met.

About You

You will have experience in telecommunications land access, including exposure to relevant legislative requirements and stakeholder engagement.

• Experience with land access due diligence, statutory notifications and approvals
• Experience communicating with landowners, occupiers, authorities and other stakeholders
• Knowledge of telecommunications, environmental, cultural heritage, Native Title, planning, tenure and compensation requirements relevant to land access
• Strong stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
