Job summary

Stairworks, based in Melbourne, is seeking a skilled, full-time Stair Builder & Installer to manufacture and install custom timber staircases, including geometric designs. Some site travel for installations will be required, and there is potential to advance into a management role based on experience.

The Bayswater North workshop supports this work. Hours are 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with tools provided.

Qualifications

• Australian Drivers Licence (manual ideal).
• Trade qualification in stair building, joinery or carpentry.
• Experience in relevant field.
• Hold a valid White/Red Card.
• Ability to interpret plans and drawings.
• Reliable and independent.

Responsibilities

What is the job?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated tradesperson to join our team as a full-time Stair Builder & Installer.

For those seeking a full-time position, there is scope to assume a management position with this role, depending on your experience.

What would I be doing?

You will be responsible for manufacturing and installing custom timber staircases, including geometric stairs.

Our workshop is located in Bayswater North.

We install stairs across Melbourne. Travel to site for installation will be necessary some days, when a geometric or detailed custom stair is being installed under your management.

Only fully qualified, salaried applicants with no driving disqualifications will be eligible for vehicle use. Manual license required.

Tools provided.

Standard hours of work are 7.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
