Staircase Constructions is seeking a skilled and detail-focused Curved Staircase Installer to join our team, manufacturing and installing custom curved and geometric staircases.

We are open to offering either full-time or casual employment, depending on the successful candidate’s preferred working arrangement.

Staircase Constructions is a family-owned business that has been operating from South Geelong since 1990.

For more than 35 years, we have designed, manufactured and installed custom staircases for builders, developers, architects and homeowners across Geelong, Melbourne and regional Victoria.

From feature staircases in high-end homes and commercial spaces to large residential developments, our team is known for quality craftsmanship, practical innovation and reliable service. We take pride in creating staircases that are both functional and beautifully finished.

About the Role

This hands-on role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to see each project through from manufacture to installation.

You will work alongside our skilled team in the South Geelong factory to manufacture custom curved and geometric staircases before heading to site to install the finished product.

These are detailed, highly customised projects that require patience, precision and strong problem-solving skills. No two staircases are exactly the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working collaboratively with the team to manufacture custom curved and geometric staircases

• Completing detailed carpentry and joinery work to a high standard

• Reading and interpreting detailed drawings, plans and measurements

• Confidently and safely using a range of hand and power tools

• Assisting with the construction, assembly and finishing of staircase components

• Installing completed staircases across residential and commercial sites

• Identifying and resolving practical issues during manufacture and installation

• Making adjustments on site when required

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe factory and worksite

• Following all workplace health and safety requirements and site procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in carpentry, joinery, staircase construction or a similar trade

• Is confident completing detailed and high-precision work

• Can accurately read and work from drawings and plans

• Is skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools

• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in quality workmanship

• Enjoys working on unique and technically challenging projects

• Is practical, patient and confident solving problems

• Is reliable, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Is physically fit and comfortable working in both factory and construction-site environments

• Holds a current White Card

• Holds a current driver licence

A relevant trade qualification would be highly regarded. However, applicants with equivalent skills gained through substantial practical experience are also encouraged to apply.
