Job summary

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is seeking two Staff Specialists in Radiology to join the Department of Medical Imaging at Nepean Hospital. These permanent roles are open on a full-time or part-time basis and offer a meaningful opportunity to improve patient outcomes across a growing region.

You will report to the Head of Department, work with a multidisciplinary team, and supervise junior staff while contributing to education and research within a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of RANZCR or equivalent specialist recognition.
• Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration.
• Sound clinical knowledge in radiology and ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication skills and genuine commitment to teamwork, teaching and junior medical staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Report plain films and fluoroscopic exams; supervise ultrasound, CT, angiography and interventional procedures.
• Take part in on-call roster and rostered imaging service with teleradiology support.
• Supervise and teach junior medical staff; contribute to education at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Contribute to research, quality improvement, peer review and governance of the department.
