Job summary

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District invites two Staff Specialists in Radiology to join the Department of Medical Imaging at Nepean Hospital. The roles are permanent, open to full-time or part-time, and involve a broad case mix with interventional work and MRI reporting via FRANZCR accreditation.

You will report to the Head of Department, supervise junior staff, and participate in teaching and research activities within a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Commitment to teaching and supervising junior medical staff.
• Interest in research and continuous improvement within radiology.

Responsibilities

• Report plain films and supervise ultrasound, CT, angiography and interventional procedures.
• Participate in on-call roster and rostered imaging service with tele-radiology support.
• Supervise and teach junior medical staff and contribute to undergraduate/postgraduate education.
• Contribute to research, quality improvement and governance of the Department.
