Job summary

Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia seeks a Staff Financial Planning professional to support budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the bank. The role enhances financial visibility, delivering insights to senior management for strategic decisions.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 1+ year in financial planning, and strong financial modelling with MS Excel, SQL/Query and BI tools. Power BI or Tableau experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in financial planning or related field, preferably banking/finance.
• Strong financial modelling skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL/Query and BI tools.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
• Good understanding of banking products and balance sheet dynamics.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and scenario analysis.
• Conduct simulation, sensitivity and stress test analysis.
• Collaborate with business units to gather input and validate assumptions.
• Prepare monthly management reports and dashboards.
• Provide insights on drivers of revenue, cost and profitability.
• Track KPIs such as NIM, cost-to-income, loan/deposit growth.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

The Staff Financial Planning plays a critical role in supporting the Bank’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes. This role contributes to enhancing financial visibility, providing actionable insights to senior management, and supporting strategic decision-making across the Bank. The position requires strong analytical capabilities combined with a solid understanding of banking operations, financial metrics, and business performance drivers.

Main Duties

• Financial Planning & Forecasting


• Assist the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.


• Assist in developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis.


• Assist in conducting simulation, sensitivity and stress test analysis.


• Collaborate with business units to gather input and validate assumptions.


• Performance Analysis


• Assist in conducting peer benchmarking and trend analysis.


• Assist in analyzing monthly financial results, identifying variances vs. budget/forecast.


• Assist in providing insights on key drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability.


• Track and report KPIs such as net interest margin (NIM), cost-to-income ratio, and loan/deposit growth.


• Management Reporting


• Assist in preparing and presenting monthly management reports and dashboards.


• Assist in delivering clear and concise commentary on financial performance to senior stakeholders.


• Support Board and executive-level reporting requirements.


• Business Partnering


• Act as a finance partner to business units (Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury, etc.)


• Assist in providing financial insights to support product pricing, investment decisions, and cost optimization

Skills / Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or other related fields.


• At least 1 year of experience in financial planning or related fields, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.


• Strong financial modelling skills.


• Proficient in MS Excel, Query, and BI tools.


• Experience with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.


• Good understanding of banking products and balance sheet dynamics.


• Familiar with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
