Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Snowflake, dbt, and data modelling capabilities to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data warehouse solutions that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and BI initiatives.

The ideal candidate will implement data quality, governance, and performance tuning while collaborating with analytics, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver robust data platforms across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Extensive dbt model development, testing, and incremental loading.
• Expertise in Data Modelling (Dimensional, Star, Snowflake, Data Vault).
• Experience building enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD processes.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt (Data Build Tool), and Data Modelling to join a high-performing data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data warehouse solutions that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake as the enterprise data platform.
• Build and manage robust data transformation frameworks using dbt.
• Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
• Create and maintain logical and physical data models supporting analytics and reporting requirements.
• Implement best practices for data quality, testing, governance, and documentation.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, cost management, and query tuning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, architects, and engineers to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Develop reusable dbt models, macros, tests, and documentation.
• Support data migration, integration, and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data governance standards.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Extensive experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) including model development, testing, snapshots, and incremental loading.
