Job summary

IBC Recruitment seeks an experienced SQL DBA to join an Enterprise environment in Sydney on a 3-month contract with potential extension.

You will own performance, availability, security and ongoing management of SQL Server environments, with a focus on Azure and a migration project to a single source of truth.

Ideal candidates will handle large datasets, ETL, data migration, complex queries, backup, recovery and monitoring, working independently to hit the ground running.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the performance, availability, security and ongoing management of SQL Server environments, particularly within Azure. This is an in‑flight project focused on migrating data from multiple sources into a single source of truth. You’ll be comfortable working with large datasets and have strong experience across ETL, data migration, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, security and monitoring.

• Strong SQL Server / DBA experience
• Database administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Backup, recovery and high-availability experience
• Strong understanding of database security and monitoring
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
