Job summary

Ingrity seeks an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join a major financial services client on a long-term contract, preferably Melbourne-based, with flexibility to consider other Australian locations.

You will support business-critical SQL Server environments, focusing on production support, database performance, deployments, patching, security and disaster recovery. Immediate start expected, 12 months+ contract, with business-hours coverage and 24x7 on-call roster.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA in large-scale production environments.
• Experience with SQL Server patching, upgrades, failover and failback.
• Strong troubleshooting and database performance tuning capabilities.
• Experience supporting production deployments and after-hours changes.
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes and testing.

Responsibilities

• Support business-critical SQL Server environments with a focus on production support.
• Lead performance investigations and tuning activities.
• Manage deployments, patching, and security enhancements.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call roster with time in lieu for after-hours work.
• Oversee DR readiness and disaster recovery testing.
