Job summary

Leading Australian Corporation in Docklands is seeking a hands-on Data Business Analyst to support a major data platform migration from Microsoft Synapse to Databricks. You will drive data discovery, mapping, lineage documentation, and requirement analysis across a diverse portfolio.

You will lead data mapping and lineage across source/target systems, document data flows and transformations, and support data modelling and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data BA, Data Analyst, or Business Analyst with data-focused projects.
• Expertise in data mapping, data lineage, and data analysis.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms or cloud migrations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
• Familiar with data modelling concepts and data governance.
• Willingness to travel to sites in Victoria and interstate.
• Able to commence within 2 weeks' notice.

Rate: Up to $700/day incl. super

Location: Docklands. 3 - 4 days/week in office

Travel: Regular travel to operational sites across Victoria and interstate, including overnight/multi-day trips

As part of a broader transition from Microsoft Synapse to Databricks, you will play a key role in data discovery, mapping, lineage documentation, and requirements analysis across a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data mapping and data lineage activities across multiple source and target systems.
• Analyse and document data flows, transformations, and dependencies.
