Job summary

Green by Nature, based in Victoria, is seeking a dedicated gardener/grounds maintainer to join the depot team in Dandenong South. You will perform pesticide, herbicide, and fertiliser applications to help keep local parks and facilities looking their best.

You’ll bring ChemCERT/ACUP, at least 1 year of experience, and a safety-minded, team-oriented approach. A full manual driver’s license is essential, and you’ll contribute to a safe environment for colleagues and the public.

Qualifications

• ChemCERT/ACUP certification or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• National Police Check & Working with Children’s Check (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers across the City of Frankston.
• Apply chemicals for weed control and eradication.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment following safety standards.
• Keep accurate records of chemical applications and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Identify and report weed infestations.
• Remove weeds mechanically when necessary.
• Conduct routine litter clean-up and report any damage or issues.

About You

You take genuine pride in your work, backed by a strong foundation in horticulture/garden maintenance. Known for your reliability and expertise, you’ve earned a reputation for maintaining vibrant, healthy grounds that always look their best.

• You’ve got a ChemCERT / ACUP and at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role
• National Police Check & Working with Children's Check (or Willing to obtain)
• You’re a strong team player who pitches in when needed
• You’ve got a keen eye for detail and a practical approach to solving problems
• You’re safety-conscious and committed to keeping yourself, your team and the public safe
• A full Manual driver’s licence is a must.
