Belgravia Leisure in Torquay, Queensland, seeks an emerging or established Stadium Manager to lead operations at the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre, opening early 2027. You will drive guest experience, safety, and community programs while shaping a high-performance culture.

As part of the leadership team, you will manage programs, bookings, staff coaching, and partnerships with user groups and sporting associations to maximise facility use and community impact.

Qualificações

• Experience leading teams in stadium operations or a similar service industry.
• Experience delivering or supporting community sporting programs.
• Operational experience with safety and compliance frameworks.
• Willing to obtain First Aid & CPR.
• Willing to obtain Working With Children Check & Police Check.

• Liaise with sporting associations and user groups to maximise facility use and customer satisfaction.
• Manage financial performance in line with the venue budget.
• Build strong relationships with contract partners to achieve shared goals.
• Recruit, coach, and empower a customer-centric team.

The Role:

Join a vibrant community hub in Torquay’s growing community, where health, wellbeing, and connection are at the centre of everything we do. Deliver excellent service in conjunction as part of the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre, where guest experience is at the heart of what we do.

The Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre, currently operating as a Stadium is seeking passionate and customer-focused person to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive environment. The facility offers a range of programs including fitness, sports, court hire, programs, and community engagement initiatives.

Leading from the front, you will hold full accountability for its operational performance, community impact, financial outcomes, and program delivery while providing direct service. You will drive the Venue’s ongoing growth, service excellence, and overall success, and form part of the leadership team for the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre which is set to open early 2027.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead daily operations across the facility including stadium programs, bookings, and customer service functions
• Ensure high safety standards through effective compliance, risk management, and venue supervision
• Support and grow competition and social sports programs, group fitness and community use of the facilities.
• Liaise with sporting associations and user groups to ensure customer satisfaction and maximise facility use.
• Manage financial performance in line with the venue’s budget
• Build a strong relationship with our contract partner to achieve shared goals

About You:

You’re an emerging or established people leader with experience in stadium operations, sports management, or programs. As the Stadium Manager, you'll be adaptable, approachable, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You thrive in environments where you can directly shape culture and outcomes.

You understand how great experiences are built. Fostering engaged staff, strong safety standards, and consistent operational execution. You’re eager to grow your leadership skills and take ownership of an important community facility.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience leading teams in stadium operations, or a similar service industry
