An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sport and Recreation branch. As one of the fastest growing Councils in Australia, you will be responsible for the effective coordination and operational management of Council’s sport and recreation facilities, ensuring equitable access, optimal utilisation, and high-quality service delivery.
Reporting to the Team Leader Sport and Leisure Operations, you will coordinate the effective allocation and utilisation of sportsgrounds, courts and associated infrastructure, while maintaining a strong customer and stakeholder focus. This includes balancing competing demands through transparent, evidence-based decision-making to achieve fair and sustainable outcomes.
Acting as a central point of coordination between Council, sporting clubs/associations, schools and service providers, you will build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships. You will respond proactively to operational challenges, stakeholder needs and emerging trends, ensuring service delivery aligns with Council’s strategic priorities and community expectations.
The position plays an important role in supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement in line with Council’s values and community expectations, by contributing to system improvements, policy development and operational enhancements.
