Job summary

Neuro Alliance is seeking multiple Speech Pathologists for adult and paediatric rehabilitation roles in NSW. Roles offer full-time or part-time (3 days/week) with mentorship from senior clinicians and opportunities to work across paediatric and adult caseloads, including complex communication and swallowing needs.

The clinic emphasises AAC and assistive technology, with the AAC Lab enabling trials and customised solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with paediatric and/or adult clients in neuro-related settings and willingness to engage in supervision and reflective practice.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, plus good computer skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team while maintaining a friendly, approachable attitude.
• Passion for delivering therapy across diverse client groups and environments within a neurological population.
• Hold a current NSW Driver’s License and be able to provide a driving record.
• Have SPA registration and professional insurances.
• Hold a current NSW Criminal history check and NDIS worker screen or be willing to obtain one.
• Have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain WWCC prior to commencement.

Speech Pathologists Adult & Paediatric Roles

Junior & Intermediate Speech Pathologists - Paediatric and Adult Rehab Roles Available

Neuro Alliance is a leading multidisciplinary allied health service with a focus on helping people with neurological conditions. The practice believes in an evidence-based approach and aims to cater for a wide range of neurological conditions.

Due to growing demand for our services, the team is seeking multiple Speech Pathologists to join us across our adult and paediatric services. Full time and Part-Time (3 days per week) considered.

The role will give you the opportunity to work alongside a range of allied health professionals who specialise in neurological conditions and make a difference in people's lives every day. You will be mentored by a Senior Speech Pathologist in a friendly, supportive team environment. You will have the opportunity to work with an adult or paediatric caseload, providing assessment and intervention for complex communication and swallowing needs. A rotational position would also be considered.

Neuro Alliance has a strong focus on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and assistive technology. You will have access to, and be supported to develop skills in:

• Eye-gaze technology
• Communication applications (iOS and dedicated software)
• Dedicated speech-generating devices
• Switch access systems
• Low-technology and printed communication systems, including PODD (Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display)

Our purpose-built AAC Lab allows clinicians to trial, prescribe, and customise communication solutions to meet individual client needs.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

• The provision of evidenced based services to children and adults living with a neurological, development or genetic condition or disability.
• Developing novel and innovative treatment programs for clients drawing from our wide array of therapy tools,both basic right up to our advanced technologies.
• Training to support staff and family members to ensure clients receive adequate program dosage.
• Work within a dynamic team to deliver a high standard of therapy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development both internally and externally.
• Provide a high level of verbal and written communication skills to a wide range of stakeholders including medical specialists, general practitioners, families, and funding bodies.

To be successful in this role the applicant must be able to address the following Selection Criteria:

• Experience working in a paediatric and/or adult setting with a willingness to engage in structured supervision sessions and reflective practice.
• Demonstrate a high level of verbal and written communication skills, along with very good computer skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with others and autonomously within a team, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
• Demonstrate a passion for working with a variety of clients and environments, across a neurological and disability population.
• Hold a current NSW Driver’s License and be able to provide a driving record.
• Have relevant professional (SPA) registration and insurances.
• Hold a current NSW Criminal history check and NDIS worker screen or be willing to undergo one.
• Must hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain WWCC prior to commencement.
