Job summary

Ballarat Specialist School is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide assessment, treatment and consultation to students across a large Victorian specialist setting. You will work with allied health and teaching staff to implement goals aligned with IEP/DIP plans and school curricula.

You will apply evidence-based interventions, document outcomes and participate in professional development within a collaborative team, enjoying a comprehensive resources and a term-based schedule.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based speech pathology practice aligned with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Ability to design and deliver professional learning for teachers and staff.
• Experience with assessments and developing intervention programs.
• Proven collaboration with children, families, teachers and allied staff.
• Willingness to engage in professional development, reflective practice and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality speech pathology services (assessment, treatment, consult).
• Apply evidence-based interventions and adapt plans; report outcomes.
• Document services including progress notes and DIP/IEP reports.
• Collaborate with teachers, professionals, parents to set ILP goals.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and external agencies.
• Deliver staff training within the speech pathology domain.
• Attend meetings and participate in performance reviews.
• Uphold privacy policies and school procedures.
• Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.
