Job summary

Barramayil Primary School, a newly established foundation school in Victoria, seeks a Speech Pathologist to deliver specialist services supporting student learning, communication and wellbeing. You will work with teachers, families and external providers to implement evidence-based practices and build staff capacity.

As enrolments grow, the role will become more specialised and strategically focused, contributing to school growth and a culture of inclusion and student success.

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge in speech pathology assessment, intervention and consultation in educational settings.
• Ability to coordinate, develop and evaluate speech pathology services using evidence and data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with students, families, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and evaluation of the school's speech pathology service delivery model.
• Provide specialist speech pathology assessment, intervention, consultation and case management for students with identified needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret data to inform educational planning and targeted interventions.
• Develop, implement and review individual and small-group intervention programs aligned with learning and wellbeing goals.
• Provide specialist recommendations to support planning and inclusion processes.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes using data-informed practices and adjust programs accordingly.
• Maintain professional documentation and records in accordance with policies.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff and external providers to build staff capacity and inclusive practices.
