Job summary

Maryborough Education Centre, a Victorian Government school, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based therapy across P-12 and specialist settings. You will lead therapy services, coordinate referrals, assessments, and targeted sessions with teachers and assistants.

You will contribute to DI processes, design prioritized therapy plans, and collaborate with the leadership team to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for students with communication and swallowing

Qualifications

• Qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Ability to deliver a comprehensive evidence-based Speech Pathology service to students and their families in the P-12 and Specialist school environment.
• Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a collaborative professional team and contribute to the achievements of the team through effective communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to contribute to the design and delivery of professional learning in Speech Pathology with commitment to ongoing learning.
• Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of an evidence-based therapy framework across the school.
• Oversee delivery of individual, small-group, and classroom speech interventions focusing on literacy, language, and swallowing.
• Contribute to Disability Inclusion assessments and reports to support equitable caseload management.
• Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to build capacity and mentor assistants in speech supports.
• Provide professional development, coaching and consultation to staff and supervise graduate or early-career Speech Pathologists.
