Job summary

Community Living Options in Edwardstown, SA invites a qualified Speech Pathologist to provide person-centred services for people with disability, focusing on communication, independence and participation.

You will assess, plan and deliver tailored interventions, educate families and collaborate with health professionals to coordinate supports while upholding our values of Trust, Kindness, Inclusion, Learning and Connection.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• SA Working with Children Check.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology (Bachelor or Master).
• Current registration as Speech Pathologist with SPA (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Develop and implement person-centred therapy plans to promote independence and participation.
• Provide strategies, coaching and capacity-building for individuals, families and support teams.
• Prepare assessments, therapy plans, reports and funding documentation as required.
• Collaborate with families, health professionals and other stakeholders to coordinate supports.

About the Role:

Provide person-centred Speech Pathology services that empower people with disability to improve communication, independence, participation and quality of life, based in Edwardstown.

You will:

• Conduct speech and language assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs and goals.
• Develop and implement person-centred therapy plans that promote independence, participation, inclusion and quality of life.
• Provide practical strategies, education, coaching and capacity-building support to individuals, families, carers and support teams.
• Recommend and support the implementation of appropriate interventions based on assessed needs and funding requirements. [
• Prepare high-quality assessments, progress notes, therapy plans, reports and funding documentation, including NDIA reports where required.
• Collaborate with families, carers, health professionals and other stakeholders to coordinate supports and achieve meaningful outcomes.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, supervision, professional development and continuous improvement activities.
• Apply contemporary, evidence-informed Speech Pathology practice while maintaining professional, ethical and regulatory standards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• SA Working with Children Check
• A current Driver’s License
• Willing to obtain a Psychological Assessment if required
• Tertiary qualifications that meet NDIS Requirements for a Speech Pathologist (Bachelor or Masters qualification in Speech Pathology)
• Current registration as a Speech Pathologist Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) (desirable)
