Job summary

Interaction Disability Services is seeking a Speech Pathologist to deliver evidence-based therapy across diverse settings, including homes, schools and community venues. You will work with participants, families and stakeholders to maximise independence and inclusion.

The role emphasises person-centred practice, accountability and professional excellence, with opportunities for training and career development within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Speech Pathologist.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Current driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with participants, families and external stakeholders to ensure person-centred outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and communication assessments for NDIS participants.
  • Design and implement evidence-based therapy plans that promote positive outcomes and reduce barriers to communication.
  • Deliver training and guidance to families, carers and staff on implementing communication strategies and therapy plans.
  • Ensure all interventions comply with organisational policies, procedures, NDIS Code of Conduct and SPA standards.
  • Develop therapy strategies reflecting each participant’s goals, preferences and values for active planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with defensible standards.
  • Manage workflow and foster a positive high-performing team culture.

To be successful you will have:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to person-centred practice and positive outcomes
  • Current driver’s licenceanda registered andcomprehensivelyinsured vehiclefor work purposes.
  • Flexibility to travel acrossSydney suburbs
  • National Criminal History Check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check
