Job summary

Capral Aluminium is seeking an experienced Specification Manager to join our Campbellfield team, working with architects, builders and fabricators on major projects. Develop relationships, identify opportunities and present Capral products with technical guidance.

You will engage across the architectural and construction sectors, travel occasionally, and contribute to project outcomes while representing Capral at industry events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar specification or sales-related role.
• Strong understanding of aluminium window and door systems.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD basics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and flexibility outside standard hours.
• Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, builders and fabricators.
• Identify and track relevant projects for product specification opportunities.
• Record and manage projects and customer activity using CRM software.
• Liaise with fabricators and Capral’s sales team to support quoting on specified projects.
• Deliver product presentations and CPD sessions.
• Represent Capral at trade events and industry functions.
• Provide technical support and product guidance to customers and stakeholders.
• Assist with additional business and project-related activities as required.

About the Role

Capral Aluminium is looking for an experienced and motivated Specification Manager to join our team based in Campbellfield, VIC.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with architects, builders, designers and fabricators on major projects across the market — building on Capral’s involvement in landmark Australian developments such as IKON Park. You will play a key role in influencing project outcomes, developing strong industry relationships, and strengthening Capral’s presence across the architectural and construction sector through technical expertise, presentations and industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with architects, designers, builders and fabricators
• Identify and track relevant projects for product specification opportunities
• Record and manage projects and customer activity using C4C customer relationship software
• Liaise with fabricators and Capral’s sales team to support quoting opportunities on specified projects
• Deliver product presentations and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions
• Represent Capral at trade events, industry functions and networking opportunities
• Provide technical support and product guidance to customers and stakeholders
• Assist with additional business and project-related activities as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Stable employment history with experience in a similar specification or sales-related role
• Strong understanding of aluminium window and door systems
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and basic CAD capability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Professional attitude with a high level of personal presentation
• This position is full-time and will require occasional travel and flexibility outside standard working hours.
