Job summary

Good Samaritan Catholic College Hinchinbrook is seeking a Specialist Support Classroom Teacher for a 0.6 FTE, temporary role ending Term 4 2026. You will work with a class team to support students with complex needs through co-teaching and differentiated instruction within a Specialist Support Class.

Successful applicants will hold a tertiary Education qualification with current NESA accreditation, and demonstrate strong classroom management, collaboration, and data-informed planning to meet

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Education and current NESA accreditation.
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience in a school.
• Ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet varied learning needs.
• Ability to co-teach and co-plan with colleagues to ensure curriculum meets diverse needs.
• Postgraduate study in Inclusive Education or Neurodivergent studies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the class team to respond to learning needs in a Specialist Support Class.
• Co-teach and plan with colleagues to develop the specialist support capacity.
• Deliver differentiated instruction and oversee assessments to drive progress.
• Support students with diverse learning needs and contribute to inclusive practices.
