Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a skilled civil construction professional to deliver roads, stormwater and drainage projects across the region. You will apply specialist knowledge on site, supervise activities in the absence of the Supervisor and mentor junior staff on plant operation and construction techniques.

To be eligible you should hold a Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant) or equivalent experience (typically 5 years) and a Heavy Rigid licence.

Qualifications

• Background in delivering civil construction projects such as roads, stormwater systems, bridges, and drainage structures.
• Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or similar OR equivalent experience (typically at least 5 years).
• Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Applying specialist operational knowledge on a wide variety of civil construction work across the region.
• Controlling activities on the construction site in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Mentoring and/or instructing staff in operating plant, equipment and construction techniques.
