Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a capable specialist to deliver a wide range of civil construction projects across the region. Your role will focus on quality workmanship for roads, drainage and related works, ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

You will apply advanced construction knowledge, supervise activities when the supervisor is away, and assist in mentoring staff on plant operation and techniques.

Qualifications

• Strong background delivering civil construction projects such as roads, stormwater systems, bridges, and drainage structures.
• Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or equivalent OR at least 5 years experience in a related field.
• Hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Apply specialist operational knowledge to deliver civil construction work across the region.
• Coordinate site activities in the supervisor's absence.
• Mentor staff in plant operation and construction techniques.

• Controlling the activity on the construction site in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Assisting in the mentoring and/or instruction of staff in the operation plant, equipment and construction techniques, procedures and processes.

What you need

• Do you have a strong background in delivering high-quality civil construction projects such as roads, stormwater systems, bridges, and drainage structures?
• Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or similar OR equivalent experience in a related field (typically at least 5 years).
• Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence.
