Job summary

William Bayldon Public School in regional NSW is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our Inclusive Education Hub, supporting students with complex learning, communication, behavioural and sensory needs.

You will collaborate with teachers from K-6, SLSOs, families and external health professionals to deliver differentiated, explicit teaching and to strengthen student wellbeing and a sense of belonging within the school community.

Qualifications

• Commitment to inclusive education and ability to teach students with Autism, Moderate Intellectual Disability, Severe Intellectual Disability & Behaviour Difficulties.
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and understanding the role of connection, safety and belonging.
• Capability to deliver high-quality, explicit teaching using assessment and ongoing observation to identify needs, monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team including teachers, SLSOs, families and external health professionals.
