Educationhq is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher for South Sydney High School in Maroubra. The role supports students with autism, moderate intellectual disabilities and complex communication needs within an inclusive framework.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers, families and external agencies to deliver differentiated, evidence-based teaching and help establish the new Inclusive Education Unit in 2027, contributing to ongoing student success.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach; full NSW teaching approval required.
• Experience teaching special education with autistic, intellectual disability, and complex communication needs.
• Ability to collaborate with students, mainstream teachers, families and external agencies.
• Knowledge of positive behaviour plans and proactive classroom practices.

Responsabilités

• Design and deliver differentiated, evidence-based teaching for diverse students.
• Contribute to development and delivery of high-quality learning programs across the Inclusive Education Unit.
• Collaborate with staff across the school to improve student outcomes through data-driven practices.
• Support student engagement, safety and participation with proactive classroom strategies.
