Job summary

NSW Department of Education seeks a qualified Teacher Special Education at Dubbo College Senior Campus to lead inclusive learning for students in Stage 6. The role is based in Regional NSW with a permanent part-time option and a pathway to salary determinations.

The successful candidate must hold approval to teach Special Education, develop quality programs, and work with families, carers and external agencies to support student wellbeing and engagement.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience with Emotional Disturbance.
• Ability to develop and implement quality teaching and learning programs for students in a special education setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with students, parents, carers, external agencies and the wider community.
• Ability to embed Aboriginal perspectives through cultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach Special Education programs aligned with NSW Education standards.
• Collaborate with staff to support wellbeing and student engagement.
• Participate in curriculum planning and assessment within the Special Education setting.
