Job summary

The Department of Education WA is establishing a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed-term vacancies that may arise during the 2027 school year at Castlereagh School, a specialist Education Support School for students K–12 with disability. Castlereagh teachers deliver rigorous and engaging experiences, collaborate with teams, and prepare students for life beyond school.

Qualifications

• Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Experience teaching students with disability and high support needs.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Commitment to high expectations and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, meaningful learning experiences for students with disability and high support needs.
• Collaborate with school teams to plan curriculum and pedagogy.
• Develop and monitor individualised Education Plans and learning programs.
• Maintain accurate programming, data collection and reporting.
• Engage in reflection and feedback to improve whole-school programs.
