Job summary

City of Melbourne is seeking a Manager Spatial Services to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver innovative spatial and 3D modelling solutions that inform decision-making across the organisation.

You will shape the strategic direction of spatial services, oversee technology platforms, projects and partnerships, and champion continuous improvement while collaborating with stakeholders across government, industry and community networks.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in spatial sciences or other relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing policies, strategies and procedures in the context of spatial services and associated technologies.
• Detailed working knowledge and extensive experience of GIS and 3D modelling technology and functionality.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of property systems, principles and procedures.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Mature partner collaboration and advocacy capabilities, including a solid track-record in establishing and nurturing partnerships in a complex environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the capacity to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to build and manage relationships critical to the delivery of Council’s services.
