Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council in Hervey Bay is seeking an experienced GIS Officer to join the corporate spatial team. You will deliver practical GIS solutions across diverse business needs, including spatial analysis, cartographic production and system improvements.

The role requires independence, strong communication, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders. Flexible working arrangements including work from home are offered as part of a permanent full-time position.

Qualifications

• Current and significant experience as a GIS professional, including spatial analysis, cartographic production, technical problem solving and the implementation of GIS solutions.
• Advanced GIS software skills and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new spatial technologies, platforms, and workflows.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to people with varying levels of knowledge.

What We Are Looking For

We're looking for an experienced GIS Officer to join our corporate spatial team. This role is suited to an established professional with strong spatial analysis, cartographic and spatial systems skills who can build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders while also working independently to deliver practical GIS solutions across a diverse range of business needs.

What Your Day Will Look Like
