Job summary

MPI Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Spare Parts Interpreter / Store Person to support packaging machinery operations. The role focuses on stock accuracy, order processing, and coordinating deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Responsibilities include picking and packing, forklift operation, processing purchase orders and freight paperwork, and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, task focused and proactive with high degree of autonomy.
• Experience in a similar role (operations, sales, purchasing and inventory).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Office, Outlook).
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Well organized with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and co-ordinate logistics, warehouse and transportation.
• Support sales, accounts and administration staff and assist in maintaining stock integrity of the warehouse.
• Order company supplies, prepare and process documents such as purchase orders, invoices, freight costings and inventory documents.
• Assist in maintaining and updating customer open order reports.
• Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Pick and pack, including palletisation and pallet wrapping of goods and machinery.
• Operate forklift and lifting‑devices for the warehouse, including unpacking of full containers and trucks and liaising with couriers.
• Manage consignment notes and delivery dockets, including courier and freight bookings both domestic and international.
• Plan customer deliveries that meet customer lead‑times and due dates.
• Track freight cost, productivity, accuracy and timeline targets.
