Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the first line of support for manufacturing challenges in a space-focused production environment. You will help build, test, qualify, and produce next-generation spacecraft using cutting-edge technology, converting troubleshooting into improvement projects to boost recovery times and reduce disturbances.

Qualifications

• Experience in low-rate manufacturing environments and new product introduction.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques (Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC).
• Experience with electrical system design and metrology.
• Experience with mechanical design and failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support operations teams as the first technical point of contact for production disturbances.
• Unblock production issues and implement structural solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Process defective material for engineering evaluation to determine next steps.
• Modify shop orders to enable continuous production execution.
• Develop and improve troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware.
