Job summary

Mondrian Gold Coast is seeking a Spa Manager to ensure seamless operation and continued success of CIEL Spa, reflecting our commitment to innovation, wellbeing and luxury. You will oversee rostering, recruitment, training and staff performance, while leading a team to deliver highly personalised guest experiences.

You will manage rosters, reviews and reporting, collaborate on spa promotions, and maintain stock control. Prior experience in luxury hospitality with Book4Time is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified spa therapist, with expertise across spa treatments and advanced skin treatments.
• Diploma of Beauty Therapy or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• Experience leading spa teams in luxury hotel, resort or wellness environments is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills with a passion for guest experience.
• Proficiency with spa management software; Book4Time experience is preferred.

• Develop training programs, enhance product knowledge and maintain high service standards.
• Create exceptional guest journeys and lead reception operations and guest consultations.
• Manage rosters, performance reviews and provide leadership with insights and recommendations.
• Oversee stock, purchasing, inventory management and supplier relationships.
• Deliver selected massage, facial and body treatments for VIP guests when required.
• Collaborate with Marketing on spa promotions and coordinate supplier partnerships.
• Review monthly P&L statements and report to the Director of Spa & Wellness.
• Stay ahead of wellness trends and ensure the spa reflects luxury and sophistication.

Job description

As Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the seamless operation and continued success of CIEL Spa, ensuring every detail reflects our commitment to innovation, wellbeing and exceptional luxury.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of CIEL Spa, including rostering, recruitment, training and team performance.

Lead, supervise, coach and inspire the CIEL Spa team to deliver outstanding, personalised guest experiences. Develop and implement ongoing training programs and resources to build team capability, enhance product and treatment knowledge, and maintain consistently high standards of service excellence.

Create exceptional guest journeys that reflect the elevated standards and unique philosophy of the CIEL brand.

Lead reception operations, guest welcomes, treatment presentations and consultations, ensuring every interaction is warm, knowledgeable and highly personalised.

Develop rosters, operational reports and staff performance reviews, providing clear insights and recommendations to leadership.

Maintain appropriate stock levels and oversee purchasing, inventory management and supplier relationships.

Deliver selected massage, facial and body treatments to guests, including high-profile and VIP clientele, when required.

Maintain an impeccable spa environment, ensuring every space, treatment room and guest touchpoint reflects the sophistication and luxury of CIEL.

Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop compelling spa promotions and content, while liaising with suppliers to coordinate promotional partnerships, campaign activity and supporting initiatives that drive awareness, engagement and revenue for CIEL Spa.

Review monthly P&L statements and departmental charges, identifying trends, variances and areas of concern, and provide timely reporting and recommendations to the Director of Spa & Wellness.

Support the achievement of departmental revenue, service and operational objectives.

Stay at the forefront of emerging wellness, beauty and spa trends, identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and evolve the CIEL offering.

We are looking for a passionate and polished wellness professional who understands that true luxury is found in the detail.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified spa therapist, with demonstrated expertise across spa treatments and advanced skin treatments (Diploma of Beauty Therapy or a relevant equivalent qualification),

Previous experience with EMFACE and EXION is highly desirable.

Proven success as a Spa Manager or similar leadership role within a luxury hotel, resort, spa or wellness environment is advantageous.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to coach, develop, motivate and inspire high-performing teams.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with guests, understand their individual needs and anticipate expectations.

Genuine passion for spa, wellness and hospitality, with a commitment to delivering exceptional and highly personalised guest experiences.

Proficiency in spa management software; Book4Time experience is preferred.

Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to confidently manage competing operational priorities.

A commercial mindset with an understanding of spa performance, promotions, stock management and departmental financials.

Sound understanding of current and emerging trends across the luxury spa, beauty and wellness industry.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Current First Aid Certificate, or the ability to obtain one.

Current Infection Control certification, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
