Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Relevant cooking qualifications.
• South American cuisine knowledge preferred.
• IDDSI knowledge desirable.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard.
• Apply South American culinary techniques and flavours where appropriate.
• Prepare meals for individual dietary requirements.
• Follow IDDSI and texture-modified meal requirements.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Support menu planning and daily kitchen operations.
• Assist with stock ordering and inventory control.
• Reduce food waste through effective kitchen practices.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and care teams.
• Provide residents with varied and culturally appropriate meals.
