BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a well-established hospitality venue in Queensland. The role supports the Head Chef, leads a motivated team, and helps maintain high food quality and consistent kitchen operations for outstanding dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a senior kitchen leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Clear communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with menu standards.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff during service.
• Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development.
• Monitor food preparation and waste minimisation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen team members.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
