Job summary

Bathers Beach House in Fremantle is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen family. You will lead the team, oversee operations in the Head Chef's absence, and contribute to seasonal menus and daily specials.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a larger venue.
• Outstanding culinary skills with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Excellent time management, problem solving and multitasking abilities.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and inspire the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef.
• Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
• Contribute to seasonal menu changes, including a’ la carte, function menus and daily specials.
• Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene.
